No New News on Increased Unemployment Insurance
The mainstream media in America is very quick to show you people protesting if it's in the interests of the Democrats winning and Republicans losing. There isn't even a debate about how left-leaning corporate media is today; everyone has seen the data. So when Black Lives Matter protests, it's front-page news. When Antifa protests, it's on every channel. Though what about when unemployed people protest because they cannot receive unemployment benefits and they're demanding change? You've probably never even heard about these protests, but they've been happening. Sure, the protesters haven't shown up at the Capitol, and so the media isn't going to malign them as terrorists. Instead, they just ignore them.
Thousands of men and women from all across America have been protesting the unemployment situation for over a year, and you would be hard-pressed to find a single news story about it. Even on the local affiliates in the areas where the protests are happening, there's usually nothing written up. You would have to tune into TikTok, YouTube or Facebook to see them; and the latter two sites typically delete the videos within a few days.
The people want increased unemployment benefits, and they want an easier way to get accepted for benefits in general. What is the government doing instead of listening to the people? They're mostly prepping for midterm elections.
It's a Midterms Talking Point
The fact of the matter is that nearly every single politician in America changes their platform and their rhetoric when they want to get elected or want to help members of their party get elected. This is in no way a slam against President Joe Biden. Everyone in Washington does this. Former President Trump went to Florida, Ohio and many other places to offer stump speeches for right-wing candidates, just as former President Barack Obama did the same for Democrats. When it comes time to show party loyalty, the American people and what they want have always been pushed aside in favor of the "right" party winning elections.
So, what you're seeing here with the glaring difference in unemployment numbers in America vs. the unemployment numbers claimed by the Joe Biden administration and the mainstream media is nothing more than a tactic to help more Democrats retain their seats as the midterm elections approach. It's quite literally the only thing the Biden admin has going for it. A war between Ukraine and Russia erupted under his term. Child grooming scandals in public schools are something Biden will have to answer for. The highest gas prices in history happened under Biden. Violent crime in America is at an all-time high, by millions of incidents, and it's happening while Biden is the President. So, understand that claiming unemployment is the lowest in history is the only thing the Biden administration can possibly say to make his presidency look like a success.
Even insofar as many of these things are not his fault, the fact is that they're all happening under his watch. By claiming that the economy is strong, when it isn't, and that unemployment is lower than ever, when it isn't, is just a way to say, "See, look at how great Democrats lead America! Vote for us." It really is that simple, and it is perhaps the oldest political game in history. After the midterms, a lot of economic experts and others believe that the Biden administration will start focusing more on the issue of unemployment. After all, job shortages have grown every single month under his Presidency, so it is quite literally impossible to claim that unemployment has gotten lower, unless they're using a statistical trick by only counting unemployment claims being paid out.
It's a sad fact, but if the Biden admin starts handing out increased unemployment payments, like the public demands, they thus have to admit that they've been lying and that the economy is in worse shape since he took over. As you might imagine, they are not about to do that and lose the little bit of momentum they gain from the media lying to Americans about the state of the economy. Don't believe your own eyes, as Orwell put it; those empty shelves and no one working to stock them are signs that the economy is flourishing! Just ask Jen Psaki.
For Americans who desperately need unemployment benefits, or at least a government more geared toward job creation, you are going to get it. Just don't expect it until after the midterms, when the current government in power will not need to prop up this illusion any longer.
